In the Loire, between Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, you will find Camping de l'Orangerie. This terraced campsite is situated on the edge of the village of Boën-de-Lignon. The small river Lignon flows along the wooded campsite. The campsite is part of the Domaine de Giraud and creates a simple but park-like impression. You camp on a spacious pitch under the trees. In the surroundings you will find many castles.
Park-like terraced campsiteThe park-like camping site slopes down to the river from the reception. It is laid out in three terraces, which are neatly maintained. Approximately seventy touring pitches lie on the grass under the trees, following the natural terrain. Most pitches have plenty of natural shade and shelter. So there is plenty of privacy, and it is very quiet. The campsite also has thirteen permanent pitches and five rental accommodations.Many sports facilitiesIn high season you will see many families with children here. Although there is no entertainment program, children do not have to be bored. There are all kinds of sports facilities on and around the campsite, and a regular activity is organised for campers. There are some playground equipment and a recreation room, but the river in particular is a great source of entertainment.French bread and croissantsThe restaurant at the entrance of the campsite also has a bar. The menu is simple, but you can eat well there. Within walking distance of the campsite, in the village of Boën-de-Lignon, you'll find all kinds of shops and restaurants, including several supermarkets, a pizzeria and a cinema. You don't have to leave the campsite for fresh baguettes and croissants; Pascal will bring you your sandwiches every morning.
